On Tuesday, August 6th, 2013 nine InSource Group employees spent a morning volunteering with Hunger Busters to create meals for underprivileged Dallas children. The process was an efficient, productive, and humbling experience to say the least. In two short hours The InSource Group along with a few other volunteers created 800 wholesome, well rounded meals and packaged them to be delivered to the children the very next day. Thanks to EFNT for connecting us with this opportunity.
About Hunger Busters
Hunger Busters was started in 2000 as a charitable organization serving hungry people in Dallas. Beginning as a mobile, street-level feeding operation for homeless people, Hunger Busters has since expanded in size and scope, offering an often missed third meal of the day to underprivileged children. Today their “Feed the Need” After School Program operates in 11 DISD schools, feeding over 150,000 meals each year.
