Working in a team environment, the Business Analyst will work in tandem or alone to analyze business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to solve business and technical issues. Will develop business requirements into technical stories and seek out areas of operational improvements. The Business Analyst will also that involve the implementation and/or integration of products, new features or new businesses.
A desire to work in a cooperative environment and a proven track record of delivering solutions combined with leadership in resolving issues is essential. In addition, at times provide hands-on technical solutions either through reports or program development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- A subject matter expert in the company system functions
- Develop and/or enhance Business Applications or tools by selecting, tailoring and implementing third-party packages, tools or components
- Support of internal systems including user administration, configuration, report design, upgrade and implementation planning and execution, documentation and user training
- Develop and implement training procedures and integration or conversion strategies for new systems
- Use creative skills to identify and recommend automation and application improvement solutions for business
- Provide Product Management functions for internally developed applications, including strategic planning to tactical execution and through to support and documentation functions
- Analyze and develop requirements and specifications that address business functions and workflow
- Develop Test Cases and test Applications thoroughly, when implementing system modifications, upgrades, disaster recovery, etc., utilizing users where appropriate.
- Support internal and external customers as a business consultant and problem solver with an emphasis on extraordinary customer service
EDUCATION:
BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE:
- Must possess very strong communication and problem solving skills
- Experience with business process reengineering initiatives; modeling and analyzing (as-is/to-be) processes, mapping primary and exception workflows, and identifying business rules is required
- Experience with SQL is required
- Experience with data analysis preferred
- Experience with Product Management preferred
- Experience with automated workflow solutions is preferred
- Experience developing training curriculum and material is a plus
