International organization that has a local presence, is looking to hire a Sr. Director, Publishing which will report to the COO/CIO.
The Sr. Director of Publishing will set the vision for the content editing/fulfillment teams with key responsibilities in providing a productive work environment focused on aligning, unifying, and driving our content strategy, operations,
Customer partner ecosystems, data/insight initiatives, and meeting all daily e-publication deadlines for our Customers/partners.
In addition to your oversight and accountability for all publishing deadlines and content strategy, you will be responsible for strategic, cross-functional programs requiring collaboration with Technology, Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, and Accounting/Finance.
In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to continuously evolve our large publishing content ecosystem by doing the following:
• Engage, inspire, and lead our diverse team responsible for content strategy and operations, development, and critical publishing deadlines through managing, accountability, training, and encouraging all team members
• Develop, articulate, and champion a clear and efficient vision for the future of content creation/aggregation and fulfillment on our e-newsletter platform
• Collaborate directly with functional heads across the business to develop and drive sophisticated strategies for growth, engagement, and fulfillment efficiencies
• Empathize with the team members’ business goals and workflows and envision how content intelligence and relevancy can further enable success
• Maintain alignment in our strategy, operations, and relationships with our Association partners to ensure that the content is reflective of, and relatable to, all members of the Association community we represent
• Consistently and effectively maintain Association relationships by encouraging open communication
• Enhance department and relevant product reporting intelligence to educate and make sound decision-making in relation to business decisions
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience and success leading a content development team across large volumes of daily publishing deadlines
• Proficient knowledge regarding email regulations, email delivery/production technology, and email delivery analytics
• Demonstrated success in high-growth environments seated at the intersection of sales, technology, and media in a distributed workforce
• Strong critical writing and communication skills at multiple levels
• Demonstrated ability to lead data driven decision-making and exploration resulting in solutions-oriented initiatives
• Demonstrated relationship building skills with team members and key company partners/professionals
• Capable of recognizing and leading the improvement of legacy processes and systems with a strong project management focus to execute on
• Specialty skills in copy editing, writing, AP Style, HTML, digital advertising
• Prior Association experience a plus
• Advanced B2B media understanding
Desired Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience working in technology, media, or entertainment
• 7+ years of experience overseeing content strategy and operations
• 7+ years of experience growing, developing, and leading teams in high growth environments
