International organization which is headquartered in Dallas is looking for a mid level (~5 yrs) experienced DeskTop Publisher/Editor to work on the editing of many business to business materials that are customer facing. Will work very closely with Project Managers and Stakeholders.
Duties will include:
Manage multiple, concurrent editing/desktop publishing projects and project managers with conflicting deadlines.
Work independently as well as with other Document Production staff, Marketing, and Energy SME's to write, edit, and format documents (presentations, reports, proposals, marketing materials, website content, and other forms of communication) using a myriad of software applications while maintaining company standards and brand identity guidelines.
Convey concise yet accurate information to end users, understanding that English may not be recipient's primary language.
Required: Formal education in Technical Writing/Editing
Preferred: BA/BS in Technical Writing/English/Journalism or equivalent work experience
Experienced in managing documentation projects (proposals, reports, presentations, whitepapers, magazine articles, etc.) using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat and InDesign. MUST have experience with Style Sheets within Word.
Solid verbal and written communication skills, as well as good multitasking skills.
Works well under pressure, able to change direction in moment’s notice.
Preferred: Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be detail-oriented, but not a perfectionist.
Required: Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, Style Sheets
Preferred: Adobe InDesign
