The Product Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the management of the Product Information Database. This support DBA position will also be responsible to monitor the system performance and coordinate resolutions with the application provider.
He/she will also monitor accuracy, quality and customer relevance of product content information across all Catalog, e-Commerce and tactical media.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial) and should have working knowledge of SQL to monitor the system performance and coordinate resolutions. Monitor database for integrity, quality and security. Write SQL queries to import/export data from the Agility database. ETL experience a big PLUS Is the primary back-up for maintaining the integrity of the database·
To monitor data parametrics on a daily basis and disperse issues to stake holders for resolution. To ensure the coordination between system classifications, parametric attribute normalization and online schemas·
Product content creation and enrichment of current product data.
To manage and make daily imports from Product Database. Input of the product data and specifications into the database system.
Facilitates the introduction of new products and manage resolution of data gaps with supplier.·
To use data manipulation/mining application to create data capture robots and run on weekly basis.
Support Product management requirements for setting up new robots for competitor pricing/inventory levels.
To establish, coordinate and maintain a method of transferring product information between locations and PIM system.
Develop new methods of interfacing and linking the database both internally and externally to maximize advantage.
Prepares and maintains data on the Content Management system for use by eCommerce portal.
Collaborates with e-commerce and profit centers to deliver enriched data and enriched presentation of product data online presentation.
Continuously improve quality and consistency of product data in the database.
Essential Knowledge, Abilities and Skills Knowledge of databases and SQL. Excellent knowledge of query execution plans. ETL a plus.
General knowledge of electrical, electro-mechanical components as well as Automation products. Understanding of data structure for web use. Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
Education and/or Experience:
SCS or BSEE 2-5 years SQL experience.
Experience in data modeling.
Knowledge of database design principles.
Performance monitoring and optimizing experience.
Experience in electronic products and online/print catalog a plus.
