Dallas based company is looking for a Product Owner with Enterprise Messaging Framework experience. This is a contract to hire position.
Qualified candidate needs former software developer experience – will not be hands on but just to understand as they will work with the dev team.
Will act as a Team lead but will not have supervisory experience.
Needs industry knowledge + software development exp.
Previous experience in ERP as a user is a huge plus.
Needs a good vision to utilize where product needs to go- understand Beat Practices- like a Super BA.
Be a leader- they have a matrixed team- no direct reports- but they do lead the charge- will work with tech leads and the Scrum Master.
Needs to know how to prioritize the WHAT with the teams from a strategic and tactical view., plus general needs and requirements.
Tech skills- good understanding of what's involved with software development.
Able to work and lead the team- like a Super BA – know if its going to take 1 or 2 sprints.
Good PM skills – take ownership- good mentor excellent communication skills.
Agile
Person needs to have 10-15 yrs experience overall.
Candidates must be open to working on site 4 days a week- 1 day remote.
5+ years IT / software development experience
Team leadership experience required (e.g., Product Owner, Project Manager, Tech Lead)
Agile development exposure strongly preferred
3+ years in working with Microsoft SQL Server Service Broker in high volume transaction enterprise environments; possible fit with development experience under other asynchronous queuing and messaging systems
Wholesale distribution a plus, but industry experience not as critical for this role
Product Owner must have the following core experience, in addition to the specifics noted in each job:
**Team leadership – matrix team experience a strong plus; results-driven guiding of the teams on the “What” and requirements
**Product Vision Management – discovering and establishing the long-term and tactical requirements to meet the needs of the internal customers
**Critical Thinking – ability to scrutinize drivers and internal/external impacts to the dev team efforts, and the ability to efficiently adapt the solution approach as needed
