Our client which is 70 miles south of Fort Worth is looking for a Sous Chef. This is a direct hire position.
Qualified candidate will be responsible for:
*Direct hands on food preparation and collaboration with executive chef.
*Helps in the design of the daily menus, breakfast, lunch, dinner.
*Produces high quality plates, in both design and taste
*Oversees and supervises kitchen and stewarding staff
*Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies
*Purchasing of all Meat, Poultry, and fish.
*Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen's performance.
*Helps train new employees
Qualifications/Skills: Must have 2 years experience with the following:
*Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
*Professional people person
* Good leadership skills
*Creative
*Takes pride in their work
Formal culinary training can be a big plus
