The Sr Director of Health System Interoperability has overall responsibility for driving the capabilities and effectiveness of our Health Systems Interfaces. This includes but not limited to:
- Ensuring operation of our health system feeds, existing and new, to meet the business needs and service levels of our Platforms (i.e Health System Customer Relationship, Clinician Scheduling, and Charge/Quality Capture Solutions
- Ensuring the result, performance, and the continuous improvement of the development teams, both internal and external.
- Establishing the strategy and standard of quality of service provided
- Establishing the culture, values, and communication cadence within the InterOps team, as well as across all IT and business partners teams
- Establishing a strategic partnership with our Health Systems IT Leaders
- Establishing the roadmap of Health Systems InterOps as a critical technology capability
- Advancing the interoperability of health information technology and exchange of electronic health information,
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
- Establish and be accountable for the daily operation of the InterOps team, including:
- Monitoring of production activities with the goal to know about the issue before our business does
- Execution of support activities in accordance with incident management guidelines
- Priority setting and continue to aggressively drive down the backlog of new health system interface requests
- Effectively communicate and provide clear and concise stakeholder management
- Vendor Management:
- Own and manage the relationships with the vendors and service providers who support the health system interoperability
- Ensure vendors deliver against contractual obligations and meet company satisfaction.
- Team Building
- Responsible for building an operational model and staffing the team with the right individuals to meet the business needs
- Responsible for ensuring talent retention and proactive resource planning
- Provide coaching and mentoring to the IT associates
- Provide guidance for team to self-manage
- Technical Capability
- Proactive review of solutions and plan for continuous improvement
- Ensure adherence to SDLC and change management

- Drive overall application architecture & design to ensure flexibility, portability, and scalability of solutions

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
- Ability to develop strong relationships with and manage expectations of key stakeholders
- Demonstrated success delivering projects on-time, on budget in line with stakeholder expectations
- Experience with InterOps tools and practice
- Strong understanding of development methodologies (agile, waterfall) & when and how to apply
- Service oriented organizational leader
- Demonstrated strong communication skills and ability to influence others through collaboration and building trust

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 10 years’ experience in same or similar position
- 5 Years leading healthcare InterOps team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel required: 25% to other states with locations

WORKING CONDITIONS (environment and safety):
- Work performed remotely and in office environment when needed
- Involves frequent contact with professional staff and managed care organizations
