Steve Gunner
President and Chief Executive Officer
Steve Gunner has more than 30 years’ experience in the IT staffing industry and has worked in Europe and the USA.
In 1993 Steve co-founded Force Five, Inc. a leading provider of contingent work force services catering to North America’s IT industry, with Paul Baldwin. Under Steve’s leadership, Force Five became one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the Dallas/Fort Worth market.
Along with Norman Muttitt he co-founded Knowledge Tranzfer, Inc. in 1999, to provide CRM consulting and systems integration services to companies in North America. The company expanded into the European and South America markets and was ranked among the top 100 privately held firms in Dallas.
In 2005 Knowledge Tranzfer acquired Abacus Technical Services, an IT supplemental staffing firm, and Steve assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer for the combined Knowledge Tranzfer and Abacus business units. In 2008 Knowledge Tranzfer and Abacus became part of the Paranet group of companies.
Steve ran the IT staffing business successfully under the Paranet umbrella for 6 years and in June 2014 spearheaded the acquisition of the Abacus business unit from Paranet. Over the last 5 + years Steve has completed the acquisition of four (4) staffing firms and integrated them into Abacus (Sentari Technologies, Verity Recruiting, Kandil IT, & The Insource Group)
Prior to coming to the USA Steve focused on the marketing and sales of IT services on behalf of companies such as Data Dimension and Hestair Computer Group where he spearheaded both organizations’ respective push into new markets and territories.
Steve is very active with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and is a former member of the Board of Trustees for the North Texas Chapter for 3 years.
He is currently serving as the 2022 President for the Dallas Chapter of TechServe Alliance.
